
On Wednesday, 12/06/2024, educational materials were distributed to a few underprivileged students studying at Matt/Mame/Vilavattavan Vinayagar Vidyalaya.
It is noteworthy that these educational materials were provided following a request made by the school's principal through a socially responsible youth from the respective village.
This initiative was successfully carried out today with the financial support of a well-wisher residing in Britain, who wished to remain anonymous, and in coordination with the Himayam organization. Additionally, it was assured that efforts would be made in the future to meet the needs of the people of the respective village.

Educational materials were distributed today (—/07/2024) to a few underprivileged students with the financial support of the Himayam organization.
It is noteworthy that learning materials worth 50,000/- were provided in response to a request from the — organization located in Vavuniya, Sri Lanka.
The Himayam organization, which was established with the noble aim of improving the livelihoods of those in need, is also preparing to undertake several initiatives in the Northern, Eastern, and Hill Country regions.

As the next phase of Himayam's educational development initiative, a monthly allowance was provided to support the educational activities of an underprivileged student.
This allowance was extended to a student pursuing higher studies in Kokkuvil, located in the Batticaloa district.
Based on a request made during the Sri Lanka visit of our organization's Deputy Secretary, Mrs. Mirushalini Gopichandru, the monthly allowance is being provided through the financial support of a well-wisher of our organization.
This allowance, which has been provided over the past five months, is assured to be continued until the completion of the student's educational journey.

As the next phase of Himayam's educational development initiative, a bicycle and educational materials were provided today, 29/09/2014 (Sunday), to support the educational needs of an underprivileged student.
This assistance was extended to a student pursuing higher studies in Panangadu, Akkaraipattu, located in the Ampara district.
The aid was given to a deserving student who has lost her mother, lives with her mentally ill father who is admitted to a mental health facility, and her younger brother studying in Grade 10. The student currently resides under the care of her aunt.
This initiative was successfully completed with the financial support of Mr. Shanmuganathan Subash Ragu, a social activist and well-wisher of our organization residing in Harrow, UK.

Himayam, which identifies and executes need-based projects in the homeland through volunteers, is also organizing a fundraising gala event, Velvet Night - 2024, on 28/12/2024 to support future initiatives in the region.

In celebration of International Children's Day, educational materials and refreshments for the Children's Day event were distributed to the students of Vilavattavan Vinayagar Vidyalaya in Batticaloa.
This initiative was undertaken in response to a request from Mr. Shanmugaraja Sibujan, a former student of the school and a native of the village.
The financial support for this project was provided in honor of the birthday of Mr. Thirumeni Sellaiya, who resides in the United Kingdom.
Himayam, which continuously identifies and implements need-based projects with the cooperation and contributions of well-wishers, has also organized a fundraising gala event, Velvet Night - 2024, on 28/12/2024 to support future initiatives in the homeland.
